The MediCash Healthcard is a PIN-based VISA Debit Card

You can use the MEDICASH Healthcard just like any other debit card.  Your entire families’ medical expenses can be managed on one Medicash card.  – this card is considered cash by medical practitioners and suppliers, enabling you to negotiate cash discounts.

What does your  MediCash Healthcard do for you

As a stand-alone medical savings account, the MEDICASH HealthCard helps you save and pay for all your medical expenses. It also enables you to choose your doctor as well as earn interest on the positive balance in your account. You can use it with any medical aid, or on its own.

The MediCash Healthcard is First Aid for people with, or without Medical Aid

If your medical savings is exhausted before the end of the year, by making regular deposits into your medicash card you will ensure that you are covered for any unexpected medical expenses.  At the end of the year,  your surplus MEDICASH savings are carried over to the next year and remain.

While most debit cards pay no interest, your MEDICASH HealthCard pays 1,25% interest per annum (from your first rand of savings)! You can also use your MEDICASH statements as a convenient, efficient medical expenses TAX record to submit for a rebate to SARS.
